a space to reflect together
psychotherapy in central london
Welcome.
You may have found your way here at a moment of crisis or pain. Or perhaps you are living with a vaguer sense of dissatisfaction: a feeling of being stuck, of repeating patterns you cannot quite escape, or of not living as fully as you would like. You may also simply be curious to understand yourself and your relationships better.
Whatever has led you to consider therapy, I offer an unhurried and confidential space in which to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
Through this process, you may come to understand yourself more deeply and begin to find new ways forward.
Why psychotherapy?
Psychotherapy offers a space to talk openly and without judgment. Together, we work to understand your difficulties more deeply, including how earlier experiences may continue to shape the way you feel about yourself, your relationships and your life in the present. As these connections become clearer, you become less limited by your history.
This kind of understanding can be genuinely freeing. It can bring relief, new possibilities, and a different relationship with yourself and others.

I am a psychotherapist working with adults experiencing a wide range of emotional difficulties, including anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, relationship difficulties, body image, creativity, and questions around identity and sexuality.
I offer therapy in English and German.
Training and Qualifications
Alongside my private practice, I have experience working across community mental health services.
I have completed my MSc-level training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy at the University of Exeter and British Psychotherapy Foundation (MPPClinPrac) and I am a Doctor of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy candidate at the University of Exeter. I have also completed the Foundation and Post-Foundation Course at the Institute of Psychoanalysis.
My doctoral research explores the experience of chronic fatigue and illness from a psychoanalytic perspective, reflecting my broader interest in the relationship between emotional and bodily experience.
My professional background also includes a career in international development and humanitarian work across different countries and cultures. This experience informs the openness, curiosity and cultural sensitivity I bring to my practice, where I welcome working with people from diverse backgrounds.

I approach therapy with curiosity and an openness to each person’s individual experience.
My work is informed by psychoanalytic thinking. This means that, together, we look beneath the surface of your immediate concerns. Much of what shapes our feelings, relationships and choices is not always fully visible to us.
I won't tell you what to do or give you ready-made answers. Instead, therapy offers a space to become more curious about yourself and to discover ways of thinking and feeling that may not have been possible before.
Over time, this can lead to a deeper understanding of yourself and create the possibility for meaningful and lasting change. It can also allow you to feel more fully yourself, more connected to your emotional life, and more present in the way you experience yourself and others.
This process can at times be challenging, but can also be deeply creative and enlivening.

In our sessions, you will be encouraged to talk openly about whatever feels present, difficult, or hard to name. This might include thoughts, feelings, memories, dreams, fantasies, or experiences that feel confusing or troubling.
I will listen carefully and help you think about what may be happening beneath the surface. Over time, we may also begin to notice familiar feelings or ways of relating that emerge within the therapy itself. Paying attention to these moments can deepen your understanding of how you experience yourself and relate to others.
Trust is an important part of therapy. I aim to create a space where you can feel safe to speak openly and at your own pace, including about things that may be difficult to share. What you tell me is treated with care and confidentiality.
Psychotherapy is typically longer-term and open-ended, giving us time to understand difficulties more deeply and allowing change to develop gradually and in a lasting way.
In some cases, we may instead agree on a shorter period of therapy focused on a particular difficulty, life event, or dilemma.

You are welcome to contact me using the form below, by email, or by telephone. Before arranging an initial consultation, I offer a brief 10-minute phone call. This allows you to ask any initial questions and for us to briefly consider whether I may be able to help.
It is important to find a therapist you feel comfortable with. Therapy is a deeply personal process that requires your commitment, time, and trust. An initial consultation gives us the opportunity to explore what has brought you to therapy, think about what you are hoping for, and consider how we might work together.
This usually takes place over two or three 50-minute sessions, giving you a sense of my way of working and space to raise any questions or concerns you may have about beginning therapy.
If we decide to continue, we will agree on a regular day and time for your sessions. Depending on your needs and the nature of the work, we may meet once, twice, or up to three times a week. Meeting more frequently can allow for a deeper and more sustained exploration of longstanding emotional and relational patterns.
Sessions last 50 minutes.

I work mainly in person from my consulting room in Bloomsbury, as I feel that meeting in the same room can be an important part of therapy.
I also consider online work where this may be more suitable, and we can discuss this together.

My standard fee is £75 per 50-minute session. For those attending more than once a week, a different fee may be agreed.
I want to contribute to making psychotherapy accessible to a wider range of people, so I offer a limited number of reduced-fee spaces, depending on individual circumstances and financial need.
Currently, I have a vacancy for intensive (three times a week) psychotherapy at a significantly reduced fee. Please get in touch if this is something you are interested in.
